Shelter is a small original oil painting in which a house-like form appears between layers of turquoise, green and earthy reds.

The form is partly absorbed by the landscape, yet remains present. This tension between appearing and disappearing is something I return to in my work. Here, the house becomes less a literal building and more a suggestion of shelter: a place that can hold something for a while without needing to reveal everything.
