Gusts of Wind Over the Lake is an original windswept Lake Orta landscape in acrylic on paper, created in Italy. The changing wind moves through the valley, breaking up the landscape into colour, lines and shifting layers.

Different shades of pink and blue meet lilac, warm yellow and fresh greens. Loose brushstrokes and drawn lines move across the surface, giving vegetation, water and distant forms a restless, almost weightless quality.

Rather than fixing the view in place, the painting follows its movement. The windswept Lake Orta landscape becomes a moment of colour and energy, shaped as much by the wind as by the land itself.
