Kunstmaand Ameland is an art festival that takes place on one of the quietest islands in the Netherlands.
In this blog, I share my reflections on art, stillness, and the connection I feel to the island, even though I’m not physically participating this year.

Art festivals in the Netherlands offer a unique way to connect with both landscape and people.
In 2025, I had the pleasure of participating in Kunstschouw Zeeland, a festival that moved me deeply. The purity of the surroundings, the open space of the landscape, and the direct encounters with viewers and collectors of my work brought new energy and clarity to my process.

Next year, I hope to take part in Kunstmaand Ameland, drawn by the island’s quiet rhythm and its invitation to create and connect in stillness.
