Solvent-Free Oil Paint Medium
I enjoy working with a solvent-free oil paint medium. It is significantly more environmentally friendly than historical painting mediums and also better for my own health. I had been considering this medium for quite some time and have been using it since December.

Working With Care and Awareness
Nature is a fundamental point of departure for me. I am conscious of the traces we leave behind, or choose not to leave. Of course, living on this earth inevitably means making an impact, but within my painting practice I want to do this as carefully and sustainably as possible.
Painting at the Chicken Coop
Today I worked at our chicken coop. With our small boat and the dogs, we travel from our house to our piece of land. The rooster was already waiting for me. I brought my painting materials and settled into the chicken coop, which is actually a large greenhouse. Bales of straw provide warmth and comfort. Not only the chickens enjoy this, the dogs also love rolling around in the straw.

Painting Exercises in Nature
In this setting, surrounded by nature, I do painting exercises. At the same time, I continue to deepen my understanding of the knowledge and work of Floris Verster, a painter with a strong connection to nature. His work continues to nourish my own practice.
A Day of Materials, Colour and Presence
New colours emerged. Palette knives, brushes, and my solvent-free medium within reach. A day spent among animals, paint, and panels.
