TV Interview – Podium Bollenstreek (Omroep BO)
In this TV interview, I speak as a contemporary Dutch female artist about the threads that run through my work. The conversation moves between memory, material, and the figures that continue to return over time.
MY WORK, UNPACKED — INSPIRATIONS, SHADOWS & ALTER EGOS
I was a guest at Podium Bollenstreek (Omroep BO), in conversation with Nick Duindam. We speak about the work from different angles, from the landscapes I grew up in to the symbolic language that shapes the images.
What we cover
Inspirations
Land and light, old-Dutch craft when needed, a mark that refuses to behave.
Symbols
A house in big weather, a figure that carries unnamed feelings.
Shadows & alter egos
The edges I don’t always show, yet remain present in the work.
The conversation moves between what is visible and what stays beneath the surface. Not everything is explained, but it becomes clear how different elements continue to return and shift over time. The interview is in Dutch; subtitles are not available at this moment.
I love the making, layer by layer, and speaking about it adds another way of looking at the work.
