BLUE DEUX
I don’t make many abstract works, but Blue Deux is one of my favourites.
Blue Deux became the starting point for the layered surfaces, mixed media and textures I later developed further in my It’s Nature series, in which Hert (Deer) appears.

The frame
I always enjoy seeing a work return from the framer.
For Blue Deux, De Lijsterij in Voorhout made a hand-coloured oak frame with protective museum glazing. The colour of the wood works particularly well with the painting.
I was very happy with the result.
