soft hope oil painting
Soft Hope was created in 2025 as part of the Dreamland collection. Within this series, I explore how subtle shifts in image and feeling can open an inner landscape. The work does not stand alone, but belongs to an ongoing inquiry in which symbolism and imagination converge. Dreamland is not a physical place, but a mental space in which images are allowed to emerge.

Material & scale
This work is executed in oil on canvas. Oil paint allows me to work in layers and to let time enter the image. I do not always consciously apply time in my working process, as my approach can shift between directness and duration. In this particular work, however, I deliberately sought layering. The medium of oil paint technically requires this buildup and supports slowing down, revisiting, and deepening the image.

Thematic layer
Softness and hope form the core of Soft Hope. Not as a grand gesture, but as something that presents itself carefully. The image is symbolic and narrative in nature, without a fixed meaning. There is space for interpretation. The work moves between vulnerability and strength, without resolving that tension.
Process
The painting emerged through an intuitive working process, without a predetermined image. I work from feeling and observation, allowing the work to develop layer by layer. Periods of active painting alternate with moments of distance and reflection. The work is complete when tension and stillness are in balance, a moment that cannot be planned.

Availability
Soft Hope is available upon request. The work can be purchased through a secure purchasing process or directly from my studio. A studio visit is possible for those who wish to experience the work in a calm and focused setting.
