In this painting, I was exploring the ruggedness of the landscape. I wanted to capture both its sense of shelter and its powerful energy. That is why I worked with a palette knife and thick layers of oil paint (impasto).

A small house-like form emerged, almost hidden between the layers of paint. I was searching for a sense of shelter within the painting, without losing the freedom of the landscape. It is precisely this tension that continues to fascinate me.
