On February 8 and 9, there were various guided tours during the art fair in Huis ter Duin Noordwijk. I was able to talk to each group about my underlying themes, show the creation of the artwork and above all provide an art explanation about the process.
These were exciting conversations that sometimes even led to personal conversations with viewers. What is really nice is that quite a few interested parties have registered for the studio visits that I will organize throughout the year. They are eager to get more art explanation during these visits.

Sources and themes
There is a lot to tell about my sources and themes. Some themes appear together or look around the corner. Each theme often requires its own art explanation to be fully appreciated.
“The unique aspect is that I do not consciously create this match. Instead, the sources naturally come together during the process, just as in life. Memories, emotions, and moments of wonder influence one another. It becomes a dynamic playground of experiences.”

“Not only are the themes connected, but also my choice of materials. I work with a wide range of materials. They are often recognizable within an art series and can also influence other series. For me, material is just as much a source as an experience or a memory. It is an essential part of the creative process. Later, I will share and explain more about this.”
