Yes, artworks can be
shipped internationally.
— Leonoor
Some works travel easily. Others need more thought, more protection, or a different kind of packing. It depends on the size, material, surface, frame and destination. A small work on paper asks for something different than a larger painting on canvas. Museum glass asks for careful handling. A layered surface does not like being rushed into a box. Quite understandable, really.
So yes, international shipping is possible, but never as an automatic afterthought.
Shipping original art from the Netherlands
Works are shipped from the Netherlands. Before anything is sent, we look at what the specific piece needs. Not every work can be treated in the same way.

What happens after you choose a work?
If you are interested in acquiring a work, you can request more information first. I can share details about size, material, framing, condition, price and availability.
If needed, I can also send additional photos or a short video, so you can see the surface, edges and details more clearly.
When the work and destination are known, I can check the best shipping option. Shipping costs depend on size, weight, material, framing and country of destination.
There is no fixed general shipping price for every artwork. That would be too simple, and probably not very wise. Each work needs its own practical decision.
Once the shipment method is clear, you receive the full information before deciding.
Can I collect a work from the studio?
Yes. If you visit the studio in Voorhout and decide to acquire a work, it can often be taken home directly. Some works may need extra preparation, careful wrapping or another transport arrangement, especially larger or framed pieces.
Payment is possible by card, cash or bank transfer.
You can also book a studio visit if you first want to see the work in person before making a decision. Some works need scale, light and physical presence. A screen can show an image, but not always the skin of the work.

Questions about a specific work
If you are interested in a specific painting, study or studio archive piece, feel free to ask about shipping before making a decision.
I can look at what is possible, what is safe, and what makes sense for that particular work.
Careful looking matters. Careful sending too.
