Art plans 2026.
What will 2026 bring?
Hopefully, at the very least, plenty of snow in the coming days. Beyond that, I am planning ahead, with a focus on suitable gallery contacts, Kunstmaand Ameland, and Kunstmoment Diepenheim, two curated art events in the Netherlands. That is exciting, because it has to be the right fit. A curator selects work based on content and artistic professionalism.
Last year we had an excellent experience during the curated manifestation Kunstschouw Zeeland. I want to build further on that.
Together with Karin Melis, I am writing an art project plan that lies close to my heart. (I can hardly work any other way.)
And for both my own art practice and for the students, I will be getting acquainted with l’Atelier Neerlandais – France. France already holds a story for me through my family history, so that connects naturally.
And Iceland keeps pulling me back.
This year, I want to give the Icelandic Houses series a strong and coherent place. An embassy, perhaps?
Ideas are falling like snowflakes. Let’s go, 2026!
