Soft and calm Icelandic memories in oilpaint. This large work is part of the Icelandic Houses series. The overwhelming insignificance I feel in the vast nature of Iceland inspires me. The seemingly small houses contrast with the rugged landscape, where nature can both embrace a house and make it vulnerable at the same time. Yet each house remains sturdy and distinctive. It is an honor to catch them in oilpaintings. I am still exploring them.
