The gates to Het Landje are opening!

On Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November, my husband and I are opening the gates to Het Landje. Our tucked-away garden and workspace in Voorhout, where we’re usually busy working on our own projects, out of sight.

For the National Open Studio Weekend, I’ll be filling the big barn with my drawings and paintings. Large and small works, different series, including my latest, and rather colourful , Lago d’Orta series. I’m curious to see how people respond to it!

In my garden studio, I’ll be showing what I’ve been working on lately. Alongside painting, I’ve rediscovered my love of working in three dimensions. It’s still very much a work in progress, with material experiments and ideas I’m exploring, but that’s exactly what I’d like to share too.

Meanwhile, outside, Piep the rooster and his ladies will be wandering about. They’re generally unimpressed by whatever we’re up to and quite happily lay their eggs wherever they please.

Whether the November weather decides to cooperate remains to be seen. But we’re looking forward to the weekend. To seeing friends and family, and especially to meeting new faces, having unexpected conversations and hearing what people make of the work.
